I don't know why I waited so long to read The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden. I very much enjoyed this wonderfully frosty and creepy tale. The second title of the Winternight Trilogy is on my ever growing TBR pile (though book 1 reads well as a stand alone).
The Guardian* seems to be adding titles to my TBR pile quite rapidly with their Books Podcast - Myth-making with Sarah Perry and Maria Dahvana Headley - and a Top 10 folklore in fiction list I have read 6 of Dan Coxon's list.
I hope you all get some time to read over the summer holidays. Christmas has always been one of those times that I can get away with being rather antisocial and hide away with a book and some chocolate.
*Just as well for me, my partner reads the Guardian online and sends me the best bits.
